What my 2 month quarantine looks like?

Hi Guys,

It’s been a long time since I posted my last blog, but I will try to update it more consistently from now on. So, stay tuned!

It’s been over 2 months since this quarantine started in New York. All restaurants and stores closed and we all have to keep social distance outside. Before this pandemic, I love going out and hanging out at cafes and restaurants with my friends. I gradually felt harder to stay home all day and not seeing anyone. Luckily, my bf, Andrew came to my home and stayed with me, so I was relieved to be with someone I care under this uncertain period due to Covid-19. Throughout these 2 months, I was able to learn and experience things thanks to these unusual circumstances.

1. Staying with my bf 24/7

I read a bunch of articles about how this Covid-19 situation has increased domestic violence and some couples are facing relationship crises. But that was not the case for us. I really enjoy his company, and we always try to do things together. Even without fancy dates and restaurant dinners, we can still feel deeply in love with each other. I can now more realistically imagine our future with him.

2. Shifted to a more sustainable lifestyle.

Since I’ve been staying at home, I definitely spend more time on my laptop browsing through online stores. But this pandemic taught me to stop impulsive shopping. I became aware of which products are necessary at the moment. I am now more careful with spending my money and realized how important to consider a sustainable lifestyle.

3. I love home cooking!!

I am a foodie and love to eat out, but this quarantine made my bf and I become a better chef! Every day, we enjoy talking about today’s menu and experiment with new recipes. Especially, Andrew has a great sense of taste, so he is getting more obsessed with cooking. Also, we are caring about the balance of nutrition to stay healthy and strong.

4. Healthier routine!

Until the end of April, I was actually an unhealthy person staying up past midnight watching Netflix shows and munching on snacks and Korean instant noodles… Lol But I instantly regretted it because I realized that I gained some weight. So, I decided to change my daily sleeping schedule, spend more time on beauty care, and exercise for about 4 hours a day. It’s been about a month, and I am starting to see some good results!! I would like to get into more details on my next post, so please look forward to it!<3

I know a lot of people from around the world are still facing a difficult time, but I hope things will improve so everyone can quickly get back to their normal lifestyle.

Thank you for reading! Xoxo…

Miki
