Today, I found this picture of Audrey Hepburn from someone’s Instagram feed.
I was so surprised at the fact that even those beautiful women also get old as everyone does.
I had lived with my grandparents since I was 15 years old and maybe because of that, I became more sensitive about the flow of time. Both of my grandparents already passed away, but when I was them we were very close and talked a lot every day.
My grandma was very popular in the village because she looked so beautiful, smart, and fashionable when she was young. I respect the way she lived, so she is still my icon.
I loved the time when we sat down on the couch and listened to her old stories from her teenage memories until now before we go to the bed.
This is one of her stories when she was a high school student.
She commuted on the street surrounded by the paddy field to go back home from the school, and a handsome senior boy asked her ”Do you wanna ride on my motorbike?”, but she always said ”No, thank you”. because she was shy. One day, her future husband (My grandpa) found her and fell in love with her at first sight. Even though my grandma was interested in that senior boy and also her dad had not allowed him to see her, My grandpa did never give up on her. He showed up every day to help her family’s farm out wearing rubber boots. So, that his passionate attitude made them realize how he loves her seriously.
She talked to me like those stories every night.
My grandma had many things wanted to do in her senior life, but she couldn’t due to her leg’s problem.
”I wish I could dance if my legs were fine.”
That’s what she said all the time, so I knew how much she wished so.
“Miki, the life isn’t longer than you believe. I have still felt like it was just a few days ago when I was 18, but it actually hasn’t. I’m surprised that I’m already 70 years old now and even you grew up an adult. The time flies so fast and life is a moment when I looked back. “
The picture of Audrey Hepburn reminded me that my grandma’s message.
Although we tend to be trapped only short-term things, we should live more honest for ourselves and cherish to use our moments.
And we also respect cherishing people around.
I have a dream to run my own fashion brand in NY, but I’m struggling with that and sometimes feel a dilemma for it. Working for someone’s company as full-time worker gave me a stable life, however, I repeat to ask myself if it’s really what I should do now?!
I got a small notebook and write down every tiny goal monthly so that I wanted to feel I’m walking to my dream even step by step. Because whenever I go out, I bring that note inside my bag, so it looks very old garbage memo. haha
In that notebook, I scrabble whatever the ideas in my mind today, not only the monthly goals. So, I called that literally “whatever note”.
Writing down the thing is really good to organize your inspirations and easy to build the correct direction to the path. I wanna challenge whatever it will be my plus since I have decided to do my best this year.
And if I could give someone the positive power in the middle of my journey to my dream come true, I’ll be so happy!
I’m excited to let you guys know good news sooner future!
